This story of the fall of man, of the struggle of survivors to live in these fallen cities, would be told by the only way that they can be remembered, by the memories of the individuals who survived.
Most paragraphs would describe one memory, beginning with a 'you see a...' or 'imagine a...'
The memories would be distorted with people trying to recall certain colours or shapes.
Some would appear larger than life, as certain images stick with some more than others.
Memories that are particularly traumatic may be stronger than some, or more well hidden or suppressed.
Imaginary characters would appear now and then.
Dreams would be recalled.
The world would have to be described in modern language, or else it will appear to be too vague for people to understand in a world that doesn't have language that we have now.
Audio and visual would dominate, while certain sensations would be strong as well, while smells themselves or tastes may be harder to describe.
